Welcome to the EEA 2022 Officer elections. You are asked to vote for EEA Vice-President and EEA Council.

Voting will take place from Monday, September 27 to Sunday, October 24.

Only EEA members with active memberships can vote. Each member can submit one ballot sheet.

Davide Cantoni

Davide Cantoni is professor of economics and economic history at LMU Munich. His research spans political economy and economic history, ranging from institutional development in Germany from the Middle Ages until 1900 to the political economy of education. His most recent research, financed by an ERC Starting Grant, has studied the evolution of political movements and the demand for democratic change in Hong Kong. 

After studies in Mannheim and Berkeley, he has graduated from Harvard in 2010, and after being assistant professor at UPF in Barcelona, he has been at LMU Munich since 2011. In 2019, he was awarded the Gossen Prize for the best young economist (under 45) in the German-speaking countries. He is member of the Editorial Board of the Review of Economic Studies and associate editor at the Journal of the European Economic Association.

Davide serves as placement director for the Munich Graduate School of Economics, as mentor to younger researchers and as director of the department's Junior Faculty Development Program. He is a committed European, holding dual Italian and German nationalities.
