The EEA Standing Committee on Women in Economics was established on the requested of EEA President - Elect, Brigit Grodal, in 2003, and was created by the Executive Committee and the Council of the EEA at the 20th EEA Congress held in Amsterdam, 2005.

Mission
The EEA Committee on Women in Economics (WinE) objective is both to establish a research network for women in the economics profession and to collect data at a European level. By making these statistics easily available, we can monitor how the gender balance among economists is changing
