The EEA is pleased to announce that the European Job market website for research economists which was created originally at the initiative of the Spanish Economic Association has now merged with EconJobMarket.org.
EconJobMarket.org is a non profit organization that seeks to reduce the costs of information flow in the economics job market by providing a secure central repository for the files of job-market candidates (including papers, reference letters, and other materials) accessed on line.
EconJobMarket.org (EJM) was launched in mid-September 2007 on a limited release, beta-test basis. In its second year of operation, EJM more than tripled in size, with over 3400 job-candidate accounts, more than 4500 reference accounts, and advertisements from over 120 recruiting organizations (universities, government agencies and private firms). More than 15,000 job applications (with over 52,000 recommendation-letter placements) have been transmitted through EJM for the 2008-2009 job-market season.
