Juuso Välimäki, the new Managing Editor of JEEA (2015 - 2018) offers some thoughts to EEA members:

"I am delighted to be given this opportunity.

It is not always easy to remember that the Journal of the European Economic Association is a very young journal. During its twelve years of existence, JEEA has established itself as one of the top general audience journals in economics. This success is the result of past editorial teams, and in particular of the previous editor Fabrizio Zilibotti and his teams of co-Editors. It is an honour to be asked to follow Fabrizio in this role.

The journal has established a reputation for editorial efficiency and an unbiased decision process. It attracts high quality submissions from all continents and it covers all major areas of economic research. The increasing numbers of submissions testify to the impact and recognition that the journal has achieved.

The current editorial team encourages submissions in all fields of economics. We look forward to publishing equally interesting and original research in the years to come.

Juuso Välimäki, Editor"
