The session will start with a panel discussion on the ins and outs of ERC grant preparation, with the viewpoints of the ERC as well as recent successful ERC applicants. This will be followed by a hands-on session where potential applicants have the opportunity to discuss their application and strategy with recent ERC recipients, individually or in small groups.

This year's panel will consist of:

Teaching online: what have we learnt from the Covid-19 natural experiment and what do we want to retain for the long-term? (organised by the EEA Teaching Committee)

In Spring 2020, universities made a range of tough decisions, at various times, to close campuses and move teaching and learning online. We had to quickly learn how to use new technologies for large and small group teaching, rework our material for an online setting, rewrite assessments and find ways to remain connected with our students. We have learnt a lot. It is important we build on the lessons to adapt economics education for the future.

We want the content of the session to be as relevant to participants as possible. We therefore ask all those who register for the conference to complete this survey here by July 15, 2020 (23:59 CET). We will use the responses to guide the final planning of the session and will make more details available in August.

Given the importance of this topic, we have set no restrictions on how many people can attend and look forward to lively discussion with the use of breakout rooms.
